Use regular checks and purchase rules to follow the budget you choose.
Choose your spending budget and the accounts to review. Set morning and evening check times, and keep a list of unplanned nonessential purchases with the time each was added. Define which purchases the rules apply to before starting.
Start with three observable actions. Choose any personal targets and dates before starting, then adjust the routine to fit your life.
On Wednesday and Sunday, check new transactions across the accounts you use for spending.
Each morning, check what remains in your chosen spending budget before making purchase decisions.
Each evening, check your list of unplanned nonessential purchases. Confirm that 24 hours have passed before buying anything on it. Mark complete after performing the check, even if the list is empty.
The daily habits track performing the checks. Keep these rules in place when making purchases.
Choose either, both, or neither. These start unselected during import.
Record completed commitments in your D/R check-in.
Review your logs before marking a milestone complete. Adjust the targets if you change your schedule. Optional additions do not count toward milestones. These milestones measure following your chosen routine. They do not show whether you stayed within budget; that would need to be measured separately.

Copy it into D/R, review the setup, and choose what gets added.

Perform the next scheduled check and count only checks you actually complete. A qualifying week means two transaction checks and both daily checks on five days. Four qualifying weeks do not need to be consecutive, and a missed day does not require a restart.
